– Preface –

    This ‘Supplemental Resource’ (SR) presents select information including common acronyms, abbreviations, symbols, chemical formulas, a select glossary of terms with definitions, and associated resources used within BOE PG’s (BO^e’s) organization.  

 

The SR is designed as a resource for use by BO^e’s associates and its clients. The SR is designed primarily for use in a digital format; however, if formatted such that it may be presented in a printed format.  Authorized cd-roms & printed copies are available from BO^e. 

Access to the entire SR is available on BO^e’s informational blog at http://boeresource.wordpress.com or via cd-rom.  The digital versions allow you to search its content to find abbreviations, acronyms, symbols, synonyms, using a search engine.   The SR is best used via cd-rom with an internet connection because it contains numerous hyper-indexed links to other  available sites. 

Style conventions used by BO^e are generally consistant with those commonly used in industry; however, some modifications may exist.  For additional information on BO^e’s style conventions see the section entitled Conventions.

 

This SR is presented to BO^e’s clients for use in concert with other documents presented as instruments of service according to contracted which includes BO^e’s general terms and conditions & license agreements – see the section entitled Legal Conditions.  Where accessed for free use via the internet, its use is provided under the general terms and conditions in effect at the time of use as provided in the Legal section of the website.  This document is copyright © protected & rights are strictly enforced by Christopher C. Information presented herein are believed to have been accurate at the time of entry.  Some standards, action levels, regulations and statutes change with time.  Resource referenences and often convienient links to website resources are provided that the user may verify that information presented is current. 

BO^e presents links to a variety of supplemental resources including calculators, reference materials, glossarys, dictionaries, encyclopedias, etc., which are provided by others.  BO^e has not verified the accuracy of other’s work and use of these resources is at the discretion of the user.

 

The SR is designed to be a growing and evolving volume which is consistently updated and expanded.  Currently, the SR is presented in an ‘Initial Draft’ format and is anticipated to have typographical errors,   Periodically, BO^e publishes updated SRs with additional entries, corrections, etc. implemented.

BOE PC hopes that you find some use in the vast resources compiled in this ‘Supplemental Resource’ (SR).  The SR is designed primarily to allow BO^e to provide summary technical documents which are useable for BO^e’s clients with references to the SR which provide technical explanations. 

It is anticipated that the document is too technical and specialized to be useful for most individuals, except in the areas of their expertise or specific interest.  As such, eighty to ninety percent (80 – 90%) or more of this SR will be useless to most individuals.   The document compiles information related to professional specializations including: accounting, agriculture, chemistry, environmental science, environmental law, geology, geochemistry, geotechnical engineering, occupational health & safety, & soil science. 

     Although hopefully all the information is useful, it may not be entirely ‘friendly’ for novice readers.  The SR is not designed to be a ‘dumbed-down’ version.  It provides technical information in a formats useful for professional review.  In the event that you do not find the definition of a term used or desire lay-man terminology or industry specific terminonology,  BO^e has included links to other encyclopedias, glossarys, etc. which are anticipated to accommodate your specific needs.

 

BO^e’s goal in compiling and presenting this document is to provide a useful resource for use by BO^e’s associates and licensed clients only.  It is primarily designed to provide associates with a quick resource to acquiring information necessary to present BO^e’s reports & clients with additional information, if desired related to documents presented as instruments of services provided. 

BO^e recognizes that this ‘initial draft’ is not perfect and may contain a variety of errors and inconsistencies.  The  is presented as a beta release.   At the time of publication it was determined that the material presented was of useful value for its purpose.  It is currently presented in a ‘beta’ (B) format which allows use free of charge; the use of this includes a non-disclosure agreement which is contained within the general terms and conditions and license agreement provisional for use. 

BO^e encourages B-testers to provide comments on how this service may be more useful to your organization.    BO^e will evaluate every comment presented.   Implementation of comments will only be presented periodically and will not address stylistic conventions that are not consistant with BOe’s conventions.  Links to outside resources will only be corrected as they are publically available at the time of revision(s).   BO^e will update information by outside sources discovered only during publications – BO^e provides references & links such that individuals or organizations can verify the current status of information that is subject to change.
